HEALING WATERS 2015

Picture
Picture
In 2015 we expanded our Healing Waters event to three days.  The soldiers were bussed to Niagara and enjoyed an evening at Megalomaniac Winery where they saw films to set the scene for fly fishing on the next day.  A full day at a local bass pond with instruction by John Valk of Grindstone Angling and mentored fishing was followed by an evening of food and camaraderie at Calamus Winery.  Here the soldiers were introduced to tying.  Finally, on their way home, they practiced their new skills on Rainbow Trout at the Franklin Club north of Toronto.

Catching

At the Franklin Club the soldiers caught Rainbows on flies they tied themselves.  Does it get any better?
